So far, my experience has been pretty good and I’m sure that will continue.  I talked to dk for a little while last night and my impression of him is … what a nice guy!  I go into this thing pretty intimidated by the group, but excited to get to know them all a little bit.

I’ll post what I can about my experience their at ThinkTank and keep an update on any progress with StrollerDepot.com and other projects.

That said, this opportunity would obviously be huge for anyone and so here I go … I would kick myself for not at least trying.  So here is my brief statement …

Things going against me …

• As you can see, this is the first post to this blog … OUCH.  I’ve done some blogging, but mostly for my “day job” business (see below).
• I am not a “big time” internet marketing star … yet … hopefully.
• I don’t drink … but I still like to have fun.

Things (maybe) going for me …

• I’ve been building websites since 1995.  I built a college community site way back then (when I was in college) that actually generated some revenue and traffic.
• I’m not a stranger to black-ish hat tactics.  My business partner and I back in the mid and late 90′s were doing page swaps on the old infoseek engine spider to guarantee a top three ranking to our clients.
• I’ve since “gone legit” and built up an online retail presence that has decent revenues (StrollerDepot.com) even if it doesn’t always drop a ton of profit to my pocket.
• I’ve been to the last two Pubcon’s (and will be there in November again) and two of the last three SES’s … so I’m not a complete noobie and won’t be asking too many really annoying questions (hopefully).
• I have quite a bit of experience at this point with PHP, mySQL, ASP.NET, MSSQL, and a bunch of other web technologies.
• I am the father of four kids including triplet 6 year olds … so you will have the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping us all out … not just me:)
• I’ve done quite a bit of video marketing for my “day job” and have seen some good success with that.  So maybe I could offer some advice/tips on that front.
• I don’t drink … means less need to buy or supply drinks … plus, if you need a designated driver , I’M YOUR GUY!

All of that said, what I have done so far (KlooKloo.com, ClubCloneGuide.com, HighImpactChanges.com and a few others) in this space has been a ton of fun and I’m convinced I can get good at it.  I’m curious, hard working and really have a desire to break through to some success here.  Give me a chance and you won’t regret it!
